Why is Education important for ALL children?

This is a simple question that can be answered with a simple answer,POVERTY! LNobody wants be a poor, poor child left alone on the street with nobody there for you and you having to look for your own food, water and someone to be socially connected with.But unfortunately some children have to live like that. While we are at home living the ‘sweet’ life, playing your video games while eating delicious food and not even finishing it all!People in
Africa for example, could really need that food that you through away. The food that you through away could feed a WHOLE family! 

We might be worried about missing our favourite show on this big black box; other people are worried about losing their child in war or about their house being bombed. 

Some kids don’t even get the opportunity to go to school and have an education which really doesn’t give them a go at having a LIFE!Some children do get to go but have to get up when the sun rises and trek out to the unknown for 3 hours until they get to school and then their brains don’t grasp the opportunity because they haven’t eaten in the morning and they can’t use this opportunity in life.They also need education for a JOB! You need a job to succeed in life and to start a family and live a happy, healthy life!Education is important for the students as they will all go through a lot of obstacles through their lives. And it’s very important that even though are not the most fortunate people in this world, that they appreciate what they already have. 

And you probably don’t even think of these poor, poor people that are not as lucky as you to have this wonderful opportunity. It also helps you get a grip on life. It helps you to understand life and understand that life isn’t a simple, smooth ride, life does have its up and downs and school helps you learn about these situations so that you will be prepared when it happens to you! 

They even have to face not having a safe home. Some have had terrible tragedies hit them such as; their Mum and Dad died in a Bombing and you have to live with your Grandma that has a hard enough problems with looking after her.

Their lives can be helped just by you!

I’m In, Are You?

While your sitting in front of your big, black TV, eating a nice, delicious burger, have you ever thought about the starving, scared people in poorer countries that hardly even have 2 meals a day?

This week is Anti-Poverty Week from the 12th-18th October 2008. We are also doing a campaign called Blog Action Day. On the 15th October people with a blog write about poverty to raise awarness about it. The Blog Action Day started over 2 years ago and is trying to raise concern about really important issues that are affecting our world TODAY. This year they are trying to get people to be aware about poverty and to get people to actually do something about the problem.

With your support hopefully in a couple of years poverty will be a thing of the past. And we can all live happily together since we all deserve a happy life. So please, give all your support and help STOP poverty FOREVER! Leave a comment to show your wonderful support.

Mario, Yoshi and Shadow make the biggest entrance in the history of China

Ready, Set, GO! The competitors shot of like a thousand bullets through a cloud of blue water. Mario, Yoshi and Shadow were head to head at the most anticipated event of history in
China. 

The pool wasn’t just an ordinary swimming pool now instead of water it was more filled with determination and pride. The amazing ability was gob-smacking, these Olympians had trained for 4 years and they were now showing there country that they picked the right person to make them proud. 

Yoshi was in the lead of the 100 lap race. 100 laps! Many people thought that NOBODY could ever accomplish that but Yoshi wanted to prove people wrong.

Ready Teddy Go!!!

We have started our Edurance Runs to get ready for our Cross Country and Fun Run!! We have to do 2 laps of area 7. 2 laps of Area 7 equals to 500 metres which is half a kilometre!!! Aghhh! How far does that sound!

My first time was 4:14 and then 4:12. I didn’t make a great improvement but i still beat myself by 3 seconds!!

What amazed me was that Sandy beat herself by 2:oo minutes, How AMAZING!!

What is that? A new Game Called Haluz!!

High up on an enourmous, mossy branch 2 unordinary mice sat in their loungeroom while outside was the calm wilderness filled with quiet.

The quiet, foggy and dirty clouds got darker as each puff of smoke forced it’s way out of the branch-like chimney.

I found myself hanging helplessely and swaying like a bunch of trees in a raging windstorm.

Tumbling through the dirty, polluted clouds my ship suddenly falls and I find myself in the unknown.

What Makes Me? Speech!

What Makes Me Upset?Yesterday our class started our project speeches. I was first (NO!) so I had to do it. My speech was about Animal Cruelty here it is. 

Animal Cruelty 

Animal Cruelty is when people or things abuse an animal for no purpose, usually just self-entertainment. Some forms of abuse could be killing the animal or just wounding it but which of both are cruel and harmful. People often show Cruelty to animals for money. Some people skin animals and then leave the body on the ground and go sell the fur for money. But they only do this to become rich and wealthy not for the wellbeing of the animal. 

This makes me ashamed and upset. Ashamed because these people could get entertainment out of animals many other ways. By being nice and caring to animals you would get more entertainment then bashing them and abusing them. The affect Animal Cruelty has on our earth is disastrous to nature. By Animal Cruelty most of our animals are becoming endangered and some even extinct which has a huge impact on us. Whales are being killed for food in
Japan. If
Japan would stop killing these poor animals we would have enough left. 

We can help by being nice to animals and enjoy being in their presence. Making animals happy would simply make you happy too!I think that Animal Cruelty is cruel and ha

MissionMaker Story 1

¨   Setting: A place set up like the Secret Annex or Concentration Camp.¨  

Characters: Anne Frank & family members.¨  

Objectives·       Collect clues to find your family and missing pages of Anne’s diary. And to find your cat to take for company at The Secret Annex.·       Avoid Nazi army soldiers. The red ones will kill you and the blue ones will send you to Concentration Camp.·When you get to the Secret Annex your dad has left the key outside and you have to find so you can go inside and escape from the Nazi army but you only have 2 minutes. 

You are Anne Frank and you and  your family are escaping from
Germany to get away from the Nazi army. You have arrived in
Amsterdam and are living a happy life in your new home. Until the Nazi army have found out that most Jews have escaped and moved to Amsterdam so the Nazis invade
Amsterdam as well. Your job is to protect your family and yourself from the Nazi army.    

Props: Old clothes and things to collect. People to talk to and that can help you.

Visitors All The Way From Singapore!

Yesterday morning we had people from  the Singapore Education Deparment came to our class to see how we used Tecnology. We showed how we use our blog to comment,A website called Maths hunt that we use to improve our maths skills and Samorost.The visitors didn’t come for long but were grateful they came to see us!

In this picture we had to draw a little bubble on Yilmaz’s head because his parents won’t allow his head on the internet.

Small World: Lemony Snicket!

For my project i chose to do a “Series of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket. My project is a Diarama scene from book #3 “The Wide Window”. The scene is where The Baudelaires are sailing to Curdled Cave after they found a letter that Aunt Josephine left them. At first Violet,Klaus and Sunny thought  just so other people ,mostly Captain Sham who is really Count Olaf, would think she was dead. But Aunt Josephine did that on purpose because she knew The Baudelaires would pay much attention to how she spelt things. Her greatest joy in life was grammer. And i say was because Aunt Josephine did end up dying from the Lake Lacrymous Leeches. I chose this because it’s my favourite boobk and there’s so many scenes and characters to chose from.

 ENDANGERED ANIMALS

Yesterday everyone in my class had to choose an endangered animal and find out information about them on the computer. My animal was the Red wolf.

General description: The Red wolf is classified as a member of the order Carnivores and is a member of the family Canidae. The red wolf is classified as a dangerous species due to the estimation that its population consists of less than 50 mature red wolves.

Weight: 40 to 80 pounds.

Length: 4.5 to 5.5 feet long.

Gestation period:   six months to nine

months.

Baby facts: Are usually only 50 centimetres when born.

Past and present population:40 thousand (past) 249 (now)

Diet: Red wolves prefer to eat white tailed deer and Raccoon,but will eat any available small animals.

Behaviour: Mostly aggressive but when in captivity and tamed may be nice.

The endandered problem: Habitat being destroyed , being killed for fur and Red wolves mating with Coyotes so their not full breed.

Habitat:Forests,Wetlands,Mountains and Coastal areas.
